जयदेव गोराईन की प्रेरणादायक कहानी
यह एक ऐसे युवा की कहानी है जिसने विपरीत परिस्थितियों को अपनी अदम्य इच्छाशक्ति और लगन से मात दी। जयदेव गोराईन, जिसने दसवीं की परीक्षा दी ही थी कि घर की आर्थिक तंगी के कारण अपने पिता का हाथ बंटाने के लिए एक कारखाने में काम करना शुरू कर दिया। उसकी मासूम सी ख्वाहिश थी कि वह अपनी कमाई से अपने पिता की, घर खर्च में मदद करेगा।
लेकिन होनी को कौन टाल सकता है। एक दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण हादसे में, कारखाने में गैस सिलेंडर फटने से जयदेव की दुनिया अंधेरी हो गई। उसकी दोनों आंखों की रोशनी चली गई और चेहरा भी बुरी तरह झुलस गया। उसके सारे सपने, एक अच्छी शिक्षा प्राप्त कर परिवार का सहारा बनने के सपने, पल भर में धुंधले पड़ गए। पिता ने अपने इकलौते बेटे के इलाज के लिए दो साल तक अस्पतालों के चक्कर काटे, पर सब व्यर्थ रहा। बुढ़ापे में सहारा बनने की उम्मीद लगाए माता-पिता को अब अपने बेटे को सहारा देने की आवश्यकता थी।
परंतु, जब जिंदगी एक दरवाजा बंद करती है, तो मेहनत और लगन से नए रास्ते खुलते हैं। जयदेव ने हार नहीं मानी। दोस्तों और रिश्तेदारों की मदद से उसे दृष्टिहीनों के लिए बने विद्यालयों के बारे में पता चला। उसे अपने स्कूल के पाठ्यक्रम में लुई ब्रेल के बारे में याद था। उसने भी ऐसे ही किसी विद्यालय में शिक्षा प्राप्त करने की ठानी। दिल्ली के कई स्कूलों में दाखिले की कोशिश की, लेकिन 17 वर्ष की आयु अधिक होने के कारण कहीं प्रवेश नहीं मिला।
अंततः, जयदेव को गुरुग्राम स्थित जनता दृष्टिहीन पुनर्वास प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के बारे में पता चला, जो वयस्क दृष्टिबाधित युवाओं के लिए काम करता है। उसने तुरंत वहां दाखिला लिया। इस संस्था में जयदेव ने कंप्यूटर, संगीत, ब्रेल लिपि, गणित, बैग और मोमबत्ती बनाना जैसे कई कौशल सीखे। संस्था के माध्यम से उसने अपनी शिक्षा भी दोबारा शुरू की।
इसी बीच, संस्था ने खेलों के माध्यम से युवाओं को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए पैरा जूडो की कोचिंग शुरू करवाई। मजबूत कद-काठी और शांत स्वभाव के जयदेव को जूडो इतना पसंद आया कि उसने एक दिन भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का सपना देख लिया। अपनी अथक मेहनत और संस्था के प्रयासों के फलस्वरूप, जयदेव ने अपने पहले ही प्रयास में राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में स्वर्ण पदक जीता और राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर रजत पदक हासिल किया।
जयदेव की प्रगति दर्शाती थी कि जीवन में कितनी भी बाधाएं आएं, यदि दृढ़ संकल्प हो तो हर मुश्किल को पार किया जा सकता है। उसने न केवल अपनी शैक्षणिक परीक्षाएं पास कीं, बल्कि राष्ट्रीय स्तर पर उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन के कारण पैरा जूडो वर्ल्ड चैंपियनशिप (अज़रबैजान) के लिए भी चयनित हुआ। संस्था की मदद से फीस जमा की गई और जयदेव का भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का सपना साकार हुआ। विश्व स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता में पहली बार खेलते हुए उसने अपने भार वर्ग में चौथा स्थान प्राप्त किया।
इसके बाद तो जयदेव ने जैसे ठान लिया था कि वह अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर अपनी पहचान बनाएगा। उसने एशियाई चैंपियनशिप (कजाकिस्तान), वर्ल्ड गेम्स (यूनाइटेड किंगडम) और अन्य अंतरराष्ट्रीय प्रतियोगिताओं (फिनलैंड) में कुल तीन पदक जीते। 2023 में उसे एशियन गेम्स (चीन) में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करने का अवसर मिला। भारत के प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी ने सभी पैरा खिलाड़ियों को अपने कार्यालय में बुलाकर शुभकामनाएं दीं और उन्हें चीन के लिए रवाना किया। प्रधानमंत्री से आमने-सामने की मुलाकात जयदेव के लिए एक अविस्मरणीय पल था। कभी कारखाने में काम करने वाले एक लड़के के लिए यह किसी सपने से कम नहीं था कि वह देश के इतने बड़े नेता से मिलेगा। एशियन गेम्स में जयदेव ने 72 देशों में पांचवां स्थान प्राप्त किया। पैरा जूडो में उन्होंने राष्ट्रीय और अंतरराष्ट्रीय स्तर पर 15 से अधिक पदक जीते हैं।
खेलों के साथ-साथ जयदेव ने अपनी ग्रेजुएशन भी पूरी की और नौकरी के लिए प्रयास जारी रखे। पढ़ाई में भी मेधावी रहे जयदेव ने एस एस सी की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण कर गुरुग्राम में आयकर विभाग में मेरिट के आधार पर नौकरी प्राप्त की और जनवरी 2024 में कार्यालय ज्वाइन किया।
एक तरफ जहां जयदेव ने खेलों के माध्यम से देश-विदेश में भारत का नाम रोशन किया, वहीं अब वह अपने माता-पिता की सेवा और देखभाल की जिम्मेदारी भी बखूबी निभा रहे हैं। जनता दृष्टिहीन पुनर्वास प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के अन्य युवाओं के लिए जयदेव आज एक प्रेरणास्रोत हैं। वहां सभी छात्र उन्हें 'जयदेव भाई' के नाम से पुकारते हैं और उनका बहुत सम्मान करते हैं। जब वह उस कारखाने वाली घटना को याद करते हैं, तो उनके चेहरे पर एक अलग ही तेज दिखाई देता है और वह कहते हैं, "शायद इसी को कहते हैं, कुछ खोकर कुछ पाना।"
जयदेव गोराईन की यह कहानी उनकी अटूट भावना, दृढ़ संकल्प और कभी हार न मानने वाले जज्बे का प्रमाण है। यह कहानी दिखाती है कि यदि मन में लगन हो तो शारीरिक अक्षमताएं भी सफलता के रास्ते में बाधा नहीं बन सकतीं। जनता दृष्टिहीन पुनर्वास प्रशिक्षण केंद्र के एक पूर्व छात्र के रूप में, जयदेव न केवल संस्था के लिए बल्कि पूरे देश के लिए एक प्रेरणा हैं।
Devender Kumar:
A Journey of Resilience and Success
Devender Kumar, a native of Buxar, Bihar, began his educational journey at the Arah Blind School in Bhojpur, Bihar. As this institution catered to students with visual impairments only up to the 8th grade, Devender sought options for higher secondary education. He learned from his peers about a similar institution in Gurugram, Haryana, where he can continue his education and learn vocational skills, running by Mr. Narender Sharma. Driven by his aspirations, Devender enrolled in this institution in 2012.
After completing his higher secondary education, including 10th and 12th grade, and his undergraduate degree, Devender immersed himself in preparing for competitive examinations such as those for Railways, Banking, and SSC. He faced these challenges head-on, encountering setbacks a few times before achieving success. Today, Devender proudly serves as a Clerk at Union Bank of India.
His journey, however, felt like a dream, especially considering the unforeseen challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic during his postgraduate studies. "I had almost given up hope of ever clearing such competitive exams and living a successful life," Devender recalls. Yet, during this period of uncertainty, Mr. Narender Sharma, the founder of the institution, became a beacon of encouragement. "He constantly urged us to be patient, reminding us that this was the real test and not to panic, assuring us that this difficult time would soon pass," Devender shares.
Mr. Sharma's unwavering support and motivational efforts provided Devender with immense courage and resilience. Devender expresses his heartfelt gratitude, stating, "My sincere thanks to Sir for all his efforts."
Chandan Kumar From Darkness to Light:
Chandan Kumar's Journey at JRTC
Chandan Kumar's story is a powerful testament to the transformative impact of JRTC. Born blind in a small village in Bihar, Chandan's early childhood was marked by the pervasive lack of awareness surrounding education for visually impaired children. He initially struggled to fit in at a mainstream village school, a challenge that deeply affected his ability to learn and grow.
A turning point arrived on March 22, 2013, when Chandan, guided by his father, arrived at JRTC Gurgaon. Despite the absence of formal documentation to prove his blindness, Narender Sir extended a compassionate hand, recognizing Chandan's potential and immediately granting him admission. This act of faith was the catalyst for Chandan's extraordinary journey.
With the unwavering support of Narender Sir and the dedicated JRTC staff, Chandan's educational path flourished. He successfully completed his 10th and 12th grades, followed by his graduation and master's degree, all within the supportive environment of JRTC. Beyond academics, our society provided invaluable life guidance, helping Chandan navigate the complexities of the world and discern right and wrong.
Today, Chandan stands as a shining example of determination and achievement. He is currently employed at IDBI Bank and has also secured a selection at Bank of India. His remarkable success is a direct reflection of the profound contributions made by the entire JRTC team, to whom Chandan expresses his heartfelt gratitude.
